Yes, three kinds. A weekly morning ladder run through BVM Play, our own app, where you register and pay from your phone; mixed-level tourneys most Fridays at Papa Mo's and once a month at Hotel Qema; and bigger cups through the year, played in fixed pairs, each with its own page. All of them are open to visitors as well as locals.

Go to play.beachvolleymancora.com, create an account with just your email, register for the week and pay with Yape. Upload the screenshot of the payment and Gaby confirms your spot. Once the week is full you go on a waitlist and move up automatically if someone drops out.

Five players share a court. Everyone plays four games to 15 points, with a different player sitting out each game, so the pairings change every game. After a round the top two on each court move up a court and the bottom two move down, then a second round is played. You earn points for where you finish the day, and the standings add up your best results over the last four weeks.

Not for the weekly ladder or the Friday tourneys — you play with everyone on your court, and teams are drawn on the day. The cups are the exception: they are played in fixed pairs, so you enter as a two. If you are looking for a partner for a cup, message Gaby and we will try to match you.

For the weekly ladder and the Friday tourneys, any level — the court system sorts itself out after the first round and you end up playing people at your pace. The cups are competitive brackets and suit pairs that already rally comfortably.

Absolutely — Mancora is a travel town and every week has players passing through. The app works in English and Spanish, Yape is the usual way to pay in Peru, and if you cannot use it just message Gaby and we sort it out in person.
